Reflections on a big year

When I walked away from my career in advertising after 27 years, I was concerned that I'd miss my daily fix of creativity. I was fortunate to have worked with some of the best creative minds in the business.

As I come to the end of my first year of coaching full time, I realise I needn't have worried. In every session I get to witness the creativity my clients develop and unleash as they work towards eliminating their blindspots and smashing their goals.

Yesterday I received some lovely feedback from a client, an emerging agency leader looking to work on himself ahead of a potential promotion. During the course of the year, it was incredible to see him nurture his creative mind to learn, grow, earn his promotion and then get headhunted by one of the biggest and best agencies in town.

"If it’s insightful answers we seek, we first have to be asking the right questions. Or have a brilliant coach ask those questions for you ... so you can untangle the right answer in your own mind. Adam excels at asking these questions. He’s also very adept at striking the right balance in terms of direction. Sessions are self-directed, but with masterful steering and insight from Adam. I’ve never finished a session without a light bulb moment. He was really helping me realise a promotion in my last agency and then start a new role at my current agency a level up."

So I feel blessed to have worked with some brilliantly resourceful and creative minds this past year, and grateful for the trust they have shown in choosing to work with me.

Looking forward to seeing what creativity 2022 will bring.
